Monday, May 31 (tomorrow), we encourage all staff and students to wear orange in honour of the 215 children who never returned home and whose remains were recently located at the Kamloops Residential School.

Wearing orange is sign of remembrance and a commitment to truth and reconciliation. We are in mourning alongside the families of these children, the families of all children who died at residential school and all survivors and descendants.

The National Indian Residential School Crisis Line is available for former students and those affected who may benefit from emotional and crisis counselling through the 24-hour support line: 1-866 925-4419.

Congratulations Alexandrea Dechaine! So proud of you! #NDHSWildcats #wildcatstrong #ndhsjoy #leadersoftomorrowCongratulations to our final 2021 Leader of Tomorrow Award recipient, Alexandrea Dechaine, from École Notre Dame High School! Through both her 4H work and dedication to supporting community members, Alex has made a difference on levels big and small. From sending Christmas cards to Bonny Lodge residents to serving as a Youth Leader in her School Union, Alex is a great example of a leader who understands that even the smallest gestures can have a positive impact. Interested in pursuing a career in law – thanks to her grandfather’s encouragement – Alex’s compassion and care will serve her well! Read more about Alex here: bit.ly/3ulD2FV ... See MoreSee Less
